Kapi

Kapi is located 43.1 km from the town of Mytilene, a few kilometres to the norh of Mandamados. The name “Kapi” derives from “kapes”, a rather low-quality tobacco, cultivated in the area by the Turks during the Ottoman period. The nearest beach is called “Limani” or “Yeni Limani” (“port” or “new port”), to the northeast of the village. Limani has a small beach and a couple of cafeterias.
